This party kicks off NRM's big LitGraphic exhibit, which you can preview on their website.
The invitation features an impressive four pages of awesome comics-oriented programs, seminars, and workshops for the winter, including such promising items as:
- Stories to Tell: A Graphic Novel Workshop for kids, by Lauren Weinstein
- Creating Cartoons and Comics (Saturday version) by Marek Bennett (that's I!)
- Creating Comics (1-week version) by Marek Bennett -- Every afternoon for a week! That's a great way to spend your Winter Vacation.
- Educators' Symposium: Graphic Novels in the Classroom hosted by Jay Hosler!
- The Business of Art: Self-Publishing Your Comics with Alec Longstreth...
- Art Workshop: 99 Ways to Tell a Story with Matt Madden...

In the meantime, I've updated my Comics Calendar to reflect these (and other) upcoming workshops... and it ends up looking like a ridiculous amount of workshops! Wheeeee! I'll bring extra paper and pens.

This post is awesome Marek! I need to post about this in my blog too. I got a little stack of invites in the mail the other day also. I can't wait, I think it's going to be tons of fun!
I still haven't been able to wrap my mind around everything in that invitation! If you could copy this post to the Trees & Hills blog, it would make the world a better place. And if you wanted to post some of those earlier events to the calendar, why...it would be SUPER AWESOME. (I posted the opening reception already)
